Guest information

Dear Guest,
We are delighted to welcome you. We have put together some information and tips for your stay here. We hope you enjoy reading them!

We warmly welcome dogs, but we ask that you keep your four-legged friends on a leash in the hallways and on the paths inside or around the building. We want all children on the premises to feel comfortable and safe. Of course, your dogs are free to roam in the garden! We also kindly ask that you do not allow your pets on the beds and that you place a blanket or towel underneath them if they are on the sofa. Please also remember to empty the refrigerators before your departure. Additionally, vacuum cleaners and mops are available in the hallways for your use at any time. Thank you!

The entire Taubensee team wishes you a wonderful holiday.

About our house

In the common room, you will find books, magazines, and board games. Please feel free to help yourself or simply make use of the room and the seating area.
There are also toys for toddlers.
Additionally, you will find towels for dogs here, which you are welcome to use at any time. Please take any used dog towels back to your apartment.
You will also find souvenirs here to take with you. A „Nescafé Dolce Gusto“ coffee machine is available for all guests to use.

You are welcome to use the on-site pool (June–August), at your own risk.
Please do not use the white towels for this purpose. If no towels are available, please let us know so that we can provide pool towels. The pool can be accessed via the fence near the underground garage entrance and through the ground-floor lounge.

We also invite you to make use of the sun terrace and enjoy your time there.

You can settle any outstanding balances the day before departure or during reception hours. Payment can be made via instant bank transfer (online banking), in cash, by credit or debit card, or via PayPal (QR code) at the reception.

Check-in from 2:00 PM.

Check-out by 10:00 AM.
For check-out, please dispose of the trash, close the windows, and leave the key in the lock on the outside of the door. Please ensure that the local tourist tax or any on-site charges have been paid.

We ask you to be especially careful in the garden during the winter. Snow often slides off the roof from our photovoltaic system.

We strive to operate as sustainably as possible, aided by the photovoltaic system installed on the house. We also ask our guests to use precious resources sparingly.

We ask that you ensure regular air exchange by ventilating the rooms—ideally twice a day—for five minutes at a time by opening the windows wide.

You can store your bicycles—including trailers and the like—in the underground garage free of charge. We will provide you with the key to the gate. We assume no liability for theft, so please lock your bicycles. However, the underground garage is inaccessible from the outside without a key, unless it is being aired out.

The „Haus am Taubensee“ was built in 1953 and has now been run by three generations of the family.
Over the decades, the property has undergone many changes. Guest needs and the circumstances facing hosts are constantly evolving; consequently, our establishment has transformed from a small initial guesthouse with a café into an Alpine inn/hotel, and finally into an apartment complex. Built around the same time as the Rauschberg cable car in the 1950s, the house stands for hospitality and relaxation.

We were inspired to offer dog-friendly accommodation by our two family dogs—who have sadly since passed away.

The apartments in the southern extension were built by Margrit Staller in 1990; she managed them until 2024. The „Woidrauschen“ apartment was fitted out by Margrit’s daughter, Regina, in 2022.
The entire apartment complex—comprising the southern apartments and the „Woidrauschen“ apartment—is now managed by Margrit Staller’s two daughters, Regina and Marita. Regina handles day-to-day operations, while Marita provides support behind the scenes.

The (likely temporary) closure of the cable car marks the beginning of a new era, bringing with it fresh opportunities and possibilities.

We look forward to seeing what the future holds and are excited about these new prospects!

Free of charge once a week for longer stays (> 7 nights). Otherwise €3 per change.

The main entrance door is locked late in the evening. You can also use your apartment key to unlock and lock the main entrance.
Please always take your key with you when you leave the building. And please lock the main entrance again at night if you have unlocked it.

We warmly welcome dogs. However, please keep your dogs on a leash in the hallways and on the paths inside and around the building, out of consideration for small children. We also kindly ask that you do not let dogs sleep in the beds and that you place a blanket on the sofa if they lie there.

Dog waste bags can be found with the brochures in the hallway.

If you need a dog bowl, we have one available for you—just let us know!

Dog towels are provided in the common room. Please take any used dog towels back to your apartment.

The perfect walk is the loop around Taubensee. You can either head down the steep path at the back near the guest parking area or cross the road and walk through the middle parking lot towards the lake (a less steep route). It takes about 20 minutes on foot.

In the common room, you will find a Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee machine available for all guests to use. You can purchase your own capsules or use the ones we provide for a small additional fee.

Trash is disposed of on the north side of the house, by the parking area. We place great importance on recycling. Please dispose of general waste in the large bin with the yellow lid.
Please dispose of organic waste in the designated bin (brown lid). Do not put plastic in this bin! Ideally, use paper bags for this purpose, or dispose of the plastic bag in the general waste bin after emptying it.
Please dispose of paper in the bin with the blue lid.
Recyclables (glass, cans, beverage cartons, etc.) can be disposed of in the white containers. We ask that you briefly rinse the recyclables to remove any major residue.

You can park your car directly in front of the house; parking here is free of charge. Underground parking is also available for €5 per night per space; a key can be provided for this if needed.

The pool is accessible via the lounge and the garden (garden gate outside the underground garage). Please supervise small children.

You can drop off mail in the mailbox at the Rauschbergbahn; the collection times are displayed there.

Vacuum cleaners and mops are available in the hallways for you to use. We would appreciate it if you could remove any dog hair before your departure. Cloths and all-purpose cleaner can be found under the sink. Please let us know if you need anything else—we are happy to help!

Please do not smoke indoors.

The reception is staffed during peak hours on Saturday mornings. Please feel free to stop by if you have questions, need excursion tips, or encounter any issues. Otherwise, you are welcome to get in touch by phone or message—we are happy to help.

They can be parked in the underground garage. We are not liable for theft.
It is best to store your ski boots in the apartment’s dressing area; a boot tray is provided. The ski storage room is not heated.

You can find souvenirs to take home in the lounge.

You will also find books, magazines, and games in the common room/ lounge; feel free to take them back to your apartment. A small play area with toys for toddlers is also available.
